i don’t like games of chance and i don’t play them.
i don’t mean games like monopoly or poker or games with random elements and a heavy skill component. i actually quite like those.
but games of pure chance like raffles or lotteries? loathsome.
in fact, i once turned down a television that i won in a raffle. maybe i’m stupid, but that’s how loathesome i find the concept.
why didn’t i just throw out the ticket i won the raffle with?
